The pause-and-check list
- Stop when a message or caller creates urgency.
- Do not use the link, number or contact details they supplied.
- Contact the organisation through its official app, website, statement or card.
- Ask somebody you trust before sending money or sharing a code.
- Report suspicious emails to report@phishing.gov.uk and suspicious texts to 7726.
